Players, are you ready to train for the adventure of your lifetime?
Roll for reps or sets, increase your ability scores, and train for the strength and reflexes of your favorite martial classes…. all with a little bit of storytelling sprinkled in. By combining the best elements of TTRPG and strength and conditioning, Taylored for Strength, LLC offers programs for all player levels. With three programs to choose from there is something for every body at the table.
New here and not sure which of program is right for you? Check out this cheat sheet:
Roll for Initiative: Best for beginners or those returning to lifting after hiatus. The program spans 12-weeks, walking you through the basics of lifting while helping you gain strength and confidence in the gym. Easy to complete from the comfort of your home, all you need is some long loop resistance bands and a good attitude.
Strength Check: For the party member who is comfortable in the gym, but wants something fun and challenging. This program spans a full year, progressively building off each phase, though after your initial three month commitment can be cancelled at any time. If you have a solid at home gym set up (dumbbells/kettlebells, long loop resistance bands) you’re good to go, but advancing into a full gym over time is recommended.
Athletics Check: My most advanced programming featuring plyometrics, sprints, and the building blocks to some Olympic lifts. Like Strength Check, this program progressively builds over the course of a year, but after your three month commitment may be cancelled any time. Full gym set up, as well as turf or space to run outside, is recommended.

In addition to the themed names of the programs themselves, the programs will feature TTRPG Easter eggs such as dice rolls to determine member’s reps, sets, or rounds for some accessory movements, themed phases (example: the strength phase is based off of the Barbarian class), storytelling within the program itself, and each member has access to a character sheet and IRL stat calculator. The character sheet’s stat blocks are increased by completing different phases and watching the optional walk throughs provided.

Roll for Initiative is a beginner’s strength program that spans 12-weeks. The program focuses on building basic strength and mobility to prepare for the strength and conditioning of Strength and Athletics Check.
Strength Check is a year-long, progressive strength building program designed to help members increase weight lifted, pack on muscle, and continue to work through any stubborn mobility or single-sided imbalances. The final phases of this program include introductory plyometrics to prep members for Athletics Check.
Athletics Check is the most advanced program of the three, featuring progressive conditioning, agility, and power work coupled with continued strength training. This program, like it’s sister program Strength Check, also takes members through a year of progressive program designed to help them feel springy, athletic, and strong.

Each program is priced at $89/month with an initial three month commitment, after which members may cancel at any time. Discounted single purchases (3-, 6-, and 12-month) are also available for those interested. This commitment allows members to complete two full phases of the program and see the changes (both physical and mental) possible with long term training. Billing is processed through the secure, third-party processor MoonClerk.

The programs themselves are hosted on the free app TrueCoach, which features instructions for the movements, reps, tempo, and sets written by Head Coach, Taylor Neal, as well as video demos for every exercise.

Roll for Initiative, the beginner program that preps members for future programs, can be completed at home with minimal equipment (dumbbells, bodyweight, or loop resistance bands).
Members could also easily complete the first few phases of Strength Check with only resistance bands and dumbbells or kettlebells.
For later phases of both Strength Check and Athletics Check, access to barbells, kettlebells, dumbbells, loop resistance bands or cables, and some form of cardiovascular movement (safe space to run outside, jump rope, sled) or ergometer (treadmill, rower, stairclimber, etc) is recommended.

Each workout is written with the intention of keeping no one in the gym for longer than 45-60 minutes, however depending on equipment availability in your space workouts may take up to 75. Taylored for Strength LLC’s Strength and Conditioning Compendium is a resource available to members built to teach them how to appropriately shorten the workouts on days when time is tight.
Roll for Initiative is the exception to this rule, with workouts running between 30-60 min with minimal equipment. This beginner program frequency is 3x/week with an optional 4th day for steady state conditioning.
Strength Check and Athletics Check each run with five available training days: 3 strength workouts, 1 optional conditioning workout, and 1 additional add in workout.

Members may join the programs at any time. Upon joining, all members will begin their adventure at Phase 1.
